Gratefulness 11/17/2011
This week we focused on learning about Thanksgiving. We talked things that we are thankful for, including our family and friends. We traced our hands and feet to create handprint and footprint turkeys and we turned ourselves into pilgrims! We continued learning that the alphabet is made up of letters and letters make words, while we use numbers for counting. We are working on the letter “J” and continue talking about the numbers 1 – 9 in English and in Spanish. Pastor Amy taught us the story of the first Thanksgiving dinner between the Pilgrims and the Native Americans by reading us the story of the "Five Grains" using five kernels of corn. This helped us to remember the First Thanksgiving and how grateful they were for the bounty of food. We talked about all the things we are thankful for, and gave thanks to God for these things. Your littles ones are enthusiastic about sharing thanks! We want to thank you for sharing your children with us. They are so fun, and it is a joy to watch them learn and grow every day. We hope you have a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Fondly, Ms. Sasha & Ms. Susana CommentsLeave a Reply | AuthorsMs. Sasha and Ms. Susana are the teachers in the Rockin' Robins class, our younger 2's class ArchivesMay 2012 Categories |
